Castle Nursery Markenfield

 

Friday 19th February,

 

 

 

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Friday 4th march we are celebrating mother’s day and we are inviting all mummies to join their children for breakfast, there will be a selection of pastry’s and fresh juice for you to enjoy.

 We have started to collect the Sainsbury’s Vouchers again, the box can be found down in the foyer.

 Keep an eye out for posters located on the doors of your children’s room for upcoming events at castle over the next few months.

I would just like to thank you all for your understanding with all the staff changes that have or about to take place within the nursery, some staff have also taken on some new roles Tara from butterflies has become our Special Education Needs Co-Ordinator and Amanda from Bumblebees has taken over as Behaviour rep for the setting. If anyone needs any advice or ideas with either area Tara and Amanda would be happy to help.

Caterpillars

We would like to wish Evie a happy 1st birthday for Sunday.

This week the Caterpillars team will focus on exploring Singing. Activities include singing with puppets, singing with musical instruments and singing with the caterpillar book. Also they will be enjoying sensory play with cornflour, ice and wet sand play. They will also be bubble painting; chalking and gluing and sticking. Planned activities within the Caterpillars surround each child’s current interest in conjunction with supporting and extending their development.  Ladybirds

We have four birthdays this week, we would like to wish the following children a big happy 2nd birthday Samuel, Lily, Isaac and Teddy

 

The current interest in the Ladybirds this week is Colour. The children will have the opportunity to take part in Roller painting using a selection of different colours, gluing and sticking using different coloured textured materials, coloured cornflour play and coloured playdough. The story of the week is      “the hungry caterpillar”. Bumblebees

We would like to wish Skylar a happy 3rd birthday this week.

 This week the children will focus on all their favourite activity’s from this month.  Activities this week include water play with animals, cornflour play, painting shapes, icing biscuits, number flashcards and magnet shapes. Butterflies

Happy Birthday to Leo who celebrates his 4th birthday on Saturday 27th

 This week the butterflies will focus on Family pets. The activities include making a big fish tank, role play pet shop, making cheesy animal biscuits, dog and cat plate crafts and pet show and tell time. The letter of the week this week is ‘U u’ and the number of the week is ‘2’. Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the Blog!!

You may have noticed a couple of new faces around the nursery in the last two weeks we have had Bryony join our bumblebees team and Irina join our butterflies. They are both settling in very well and the children have made them both very welcome.

 

This Tuesday we shall be celebrating Pancake Day and having a slight change to pudding at tea time where we shall be enjoying yummy pancakes.

We welcome Milan to the ladybird’s room this week and Happy Birthday to Rafe who is celebrating his 2nd birthday on Tuesday.

The children will have the opportunity to take part in gluing and sticking green materials, green string painting, green playdough, green table painting, moving to music and soft play. Dear Parents and Carers,

 

 

Can parents please drive slowly in and out of the carpark as there are children that run out. Could we please also ask parents to provide their child with adequate clothing for the weather. 

 

 

 

 

Just a reminder that we still offer play dates. This is where the child’s key worker will come out for a few hours and will join and your child with your daily routine and activities to build on our relationship you and your child.
