We would like to remind parents that we shall be holding an Easter bonnet parade at 10am on Thursday March 28th. Can we ask that parents provide their child with a decorated bonnet. Let your imagination run wild!!! Parents are more than welcome to come and join us. A prize shall be given to a child in each age group. For those parents whose children do not normally attend the setting, you are more than welcome, however the children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Snails
The babies shall be looking at soft books depicting Easter spring animals and the staff shall encourage the babies to mimic the noises the animals make. Warm water play shall have play ducks and fish in it to support the ‘Spring’ theme, whilst outside the babies shall explore different smells and sounds.

Butterflies
This week the Butterflies shall be concentrating on Friends and Family as their current interest. The children shall be encouraged to make friendship bracelets and circle times shall be used to encourage the children to talk about ‘Our favourite people’, whist showing the group, their drawings depicting their favourite people.
The Butterflies would like to remind parents to please check their child’s tray on a regular basis which are there to store drawings that the children have made and perhaps one comfort. At present children are having difficulties to access their drawers as some are filled with clothing and toys which should be stored in the child’s bag provided by the setting.
Also the Butterflies would like to remind parents that French lessons will continue in the Summer term. If there are any parents who would like their child to access these lessons, please see a member of Pre school staff for a letter describing the sessions and the costs.
Days off – Jo – Tuesday
Wendy, our chef shall be annual leave from Wednesday 20th March, returning to work on Friday April 5th. In her absence, Wendy (Kitchen assistant – apologies as it can get confusing) shall be catering for the children in her absence, therefore there may be some changes in the menu, which shall be displayed on the front door.
Please can we remind parents that morning sessions end at 1pm when the afternoon sessions start as we have recently had parents try to drop off children early and some parents collecting their children after 1pm. Unfortunately, when this occurs our ratios may not be adhered to and therefore parents will be asked to wait with their children until the correct time or be charged a late fee for those who do not collect by 1pm if not otherwise organised.
Please find attached an information leaflet regarding our Forest School session on March 23rd (10am – 12pm). All parents are welcome – fun guaranteed!! If you are interested in joining us please could you either see Michelle or Lee in the pre school.
