Dear Parents and Carers

We would like to remind all Daddies of your Father Day breakfast on Friday 14th June at 8am.

Snails & Caterpillars
The children will centre their activities around sensory activities, they will be exploring bubbles popping them and feeling the texture of the mixture, body painting on the floor, creating coloured puddles to paddle in with bare feet, making marks and feeling the texture of play dough, investigating wet and dry sand with their hands and feet and exploring textured balls in the garden.

Ladybirds
The Ladybirds are all very interested in painting this week so will be centring their activities on Art, they will be painting with sand and water, making the home corner into an art gallery, displaying their art work and paintbrushes, wellie boot painting, making marks in paint with cars, reading stories about art and painting, painting with sponges and making models with clay to paint.
Days off   Abi – Monday    Julie - Thursday


Bumblebees
The bumblebees will be looking at Farms, they will be making a farmhouse with boxes, small world play with tractors, looking at different types of farms, making their own butter, planting seeds and watching them grow, making salad for tea time, reading big farm friends and what the ladybird heard, digging in the sand for role play food and separating animals that live on a farm from ones that don’t live on a farm.

Butterflies
The Preschool children will be looking at Growing. They will be making a height chart with woodwork to track how tall we are and talk about why we grow, watching dough rise in the right conditions ie warmth, looking at books about growing discussing why it is important that we grow, planting seeds in the garden and filling and emptying different items in the water tray, how quickly can the water fill up items such as bottles, pots and cars.

Amy is on annual leave Wednesday afternoon
Forest School will re start on Monday 3rd June

The Preschool would like to remind all parents to sign their children in and out at the start and end of the dat. Thank you

Please may we remind parents to replenish their children’s nappies and wipes on a regular basis, we are finding a lot of children without either nappies or wipes for weeks at a time. Please see your child’s communication book or room door for a reminder when they need replenishing.
